ok so!! I'm in AP studio art this year and my concentration is morphing animals with other objects, and I'm around half done (6 of 12 pieces, although I'm working on replacing a couple of them bc I'm not pleased w them) and I was gonna wait til the end of the year to upload the ones I liked (maybe even all together) but..... this piece of mine just won a gold key in my region for the scholastic art and writing awards!!! :+D And I do like how it came out!!!

it's an african bush viper that morphs into random swords!! the background is a graphite wash and the snake was done with a pen and ink and then a white gel pen for the highlights. it's around 24 inches wide by 17" tall!! (it was originally 24x18 but I cut it down because there was too much empty space at the bottom)

sorry for lack of recent art!!! I'm working on finishing up my portfolio (i've submitted it to all the 4 art schools I'm applying to except risd....gotta finish those home tests. i got accepted to sva and scad tho!!! and i wont hear back from pratt/risd til like...march probably) but that should be done by next week so after that ill be getting to work on digital work!!
