Yeah, the darn misconcept of "it's from the internet, therefore it is free" plus no idea about copyright........just wait until someone steals their work - the outcry will be terrifying!

I need to add this stamp to every stock group I admin! As well as the Disney Groups... gah! Am so tired of seeing submissions created with screenshots or just plain screenshots... the bane is all the groups that allow such trash into their groups and end up in my message center

This fits PERFECTLY in my situation. This chick stole this guy's art off of Google Images, and she said "Oh, I didn't know it was STEALING!"

Yeah, the usual lame excuse everyone gets to hear when confronting thieves, although most of the time they do indeed know that they're doing wrong. But they think noone will notice and they can get away with it, cause all others are definitely not able to use a Reverse Image search....

And the funny thing is that she left the guy's signature on it, said in the comments SHE KNOWS it isn't hers... just that she DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO DELETE IT. XDDD

Then help educate these people by telling them Google Images is a search engine and not a stock provider.

I do all of these things, I tell people that just because you find images on google doesn't mean they are yours or yours to use. But thanks I'll definitely be more active on the issue after this.

That's great, cause currently too many so called 'renders' of celebrities which in reality are cutouts are posted to the stock category and this pi$$es me off to no end as I offer indeed actual renders as stock.
Unfortunately too many people think that everything found on the web is free to use....
Stamps are a nice way to state such things as they are so well liked in this community.

at times, i would find my art near the very top of the search. I never chose weather or not they would show up, and i do not want someone using it thinking it is stock.

Noone likes that his/her art is used as stock, especially since there is enough free stock available. But you always find people who think that every Image Google indexed is free to use.

I use Google images in a lot of my photomanipulations but I always credit where I get it from, so I don't claim it as my own.

Google Images is not the copyright holder of whatever images you are using. Even for Fanart you should credit the correct copyright holder.
Google Images is just a search engine for images whose copyrights belong to their respective owners aka the photographers and the companies they work for.
FYI: The stamp was made in regards to some stock providers, who just grabbed images found thru Google, removed their bacgrounds and offered them as stock to the dA audience. As long as Google isn't opening a site called Google Stock, you can't offer them as stock, and even if they would have such a site you have to abide by their rules.

Oh yes, I agree with everything you said.
I've seen people post blends or collages of images that aren't their own,
without giving credit to where they got it from.
I try to remind people subtly though, some people can get really testy. . .

Tell that to every art thief that comes on here. 
Anyway, I never use anything off of Google images as stock simply because I know they're not stock images. They're just pictures that come up whenever you search for them. However, I do use them as a reference sometimes even then I don't copy from them 100%. I'll just leave this comment here and favorite this stamp.
