Speaking as an archer: that is not how you pull a bow.  Holding the bow straight out in front of you and trying to draw the string straight back like that allows you no leverage; the only way you could draw a bow in that pose is if the bow itself had a really weak (and thus ineffectual) draw weight.  To actually use a bow, the archer stands with the target off their left side (or off their right side, if they're left-handed), holds the bow straight out to the side and draws the string across the width of their body.  This provides much greater leverage and stability.  For lady archers, this does mean it's possible to hit your boob with the string upon release (and let me tell you, that HURTS), but unless you're endowed like Stripperella it's easy to compensate for that without impacting your ability to pull the bow to full draw.
