Description
A few recent and older sketches of faces- trying to establish a style for our scifi game.I'd really love feedback. What do you think about the style? How about the coloring?

I like the style. It feels familiar and yet it has its own uniqueness. I like the shading too, especially on the top three faces because it's soft and smooth. Though, the shading on the second face from the bottom left (middle face) seems different from the others. Can't figure out why though, maybe it's a little less refined? But it does give the character a more justified rugged appearance, which is probably what you wanted? (if it is, then ignore most of what I just said

Yeah, he may be a little flat; his skin looks a little like plaster. I'll try to figure out why that happened.
I'm not very big on making stories for characters; they're kind of just faces. I think in terms of shapes and expressed personality and unique style. While I'll design a whole species in a wink, I'm afraid I don't take narratives or individual character development very seriously personally; maybe I need to work on that?

I think that if you partner with someone who is good at the character development and narratives, it's not a problem
I'm the opposite of you, I'm good at the story and character development part but bad at the drawing aspect of it

I always focus on the world building, and kind of ignore the particular characters in that world. So, they just end up showing off fairly generic classes of person in the world.

Your work really reminds me of some disney like "The emperor's New Groove" work...love it!
