Description
This stamp didn't take too long to make as I decided to submit this as today marks the 30th anniversary of the IBM Personal Computer (aka the IBM Model 5150)!The IBM PC is one of the very first personal computers that changed the landscape in the personal computing industry today! PCs (both new and old) are used by hundreds of millions of users worldwide.
Technology has continued to evolved as the world continues to solder on with PCs.
Share the love! Use this stamp if you love PCs!
The computer icon (commonly known as "My Computer" found on Icon 16) was extracted from the SHELL32.DLL file found in the SYSTEM32 directory. Background and text was done on MS-Paint; colours were fixed using Paint Shop Pro 7.

Very cute.
I wish you could make a stamp that supports using multiple browsers.
I think people should be experienced with windows, mac, and some distro of linux. Especially, since a lot of people are unfamiliar with anything with PC.

I don't just have one PC, I have three.
Of course, one of them is nearly completely nonfunctional, while the other is slowish and is only still around for me to play King's Quest VI on.

I see what you mean. I have three PCs, a desktop (Win2K), a laptop (WinXP) and a pentop based PC (Win 3.1/Pen).

If that's the case, I might be thinking about the "A>_" text to the upper right corner of the screen and computers that were sold at the time only had floppies. Hard drives were so expensive back then.

I am not sure but I think you are true, I remember about floppies !

Me too. Today, I still use floppies...both 3Β½" and 5ΒΌ" versions. The 5ΒΌ" floppy drive hasn't been working lately and I don't know why. I'm hoping to get it fixed somehow.

Where'd you get the 5.25" drive? Surely it isn't new?

ppgrainbow In reply to Coder51 [2011-08-12 23:30:53 +0000 UTC]
I got it from eBay.
The BIOS supports one floppy connector with either a 3.5" or a 5.25" floppy drive.
