The bird with wings torn off finally escapes the cage

"Pinkamena Diane Pie..." The voice that I had come to hear so clearly rang now in my ear in a way more than it's usual whisper. More than it's dream visits or nighttime paranoia feeding.
I knew his voice. I knew who this was.
My friend...the one and only true friend that I had come to know in my lifetime. I knew him, because he chose me out of everyone...out of everyone. He whispered to me, he spoke to me...in times of trouble he was there for me. He's my friend.
"Pinkamena Diane Pie," He repeats, voice as dark and growling as I remember it to be. But it soothes me...
"Yes, friend?" I finally reply, my voice quiet...in some sort of respect for the being before me.
"Come now. Time is up. Your time is up."
"Yes...I'm ready."
And I was...in fact, I always had been.

How did I miss this one? It is beautiful!
She is clarity in a fog-like land of pain and darkness with the demon smiles dancing above her, the wretched, bloody, orb in the sky, and the faint and gaunt friend bringing the gift of peace. You captured it all. THe different levels of focus and detail really make the viewer see what she does. Wonderful.

I never thought I'd fave something mlp related. This is beautifully dark with its reds and purples and I love the skeleton horse. Looks like Pinkie Pie's fallen into the world of Fran Bow, I like it.Β
