About time I gave you guys another illustration (especially of the character I just did concept art for). This is my character, originally named Mordred (now Nathan) fighting off some mutant zombie cyborg thing in a lab with worms in test tubes. I realize my drawing is far from perfect, but I am happy with what I have here.It may not seem like a big deal for you guys, but I actually had a moment when I broke down while painting this. I have been spending years designing and focusing on this character and when I was nearly finished with this piece I broke down because BOOM, there he was. My character, right in front of me in all his glory. Years of work leading to seeing him finally used in an illustration. I can't explain my feelings towards that, but it means the world to me and I will probably remember that moment forever.
Anyways, Photoshop CS6, well over 30 hours of hard work.

I love this!
It's definitely got a Dead Space-inspired feel to it. The colors are good, and I love the expression on Nathan's face, esp. with the dynamic created by the drips of blood and the heavy shadowing.
The fact that we can't see this creature he's killing, really, makes me more curious about what exactly is happening and what exactly that creature is. Same with those worm-things in the jars. If this were a panel in a comic book it would make me want to keep reading.
I like the composition of this image; you utilized the space in the panel very nicely. It almost feels like it could be a promo poster for a video game or something.
All in all bro, I think this is excellent and I'm very, VERY proud of you
