Description
third attempt...11x14" acrylic on canvas (spray painted)
still experimenting. i used straws and a small metal bowl to create the circles in this.
note, the lighter colors in the top and bottom left corners are from the canvas, for some reason this particular one wasnt stretched completely tight, and i didnt realize it until after i was done painting =/

This is really cool, especially as it's hand done. Nice work.

I like this, its messy, yet neat, if you get me. I like how it has structure, with the circular parts, and had contasting splatters.

very interesting!! This is clearly influenced by Pollock!!
You have taken a step further by adding some simple yet complex shapes that are not common in his paintings; the arcs and circles
the whole painting is not spread throughtout; it rather imples that it's contained and shows positive and negative space
The "image" invites the viewer's imagination to move along with the painting
great choice of colors; once you have included light and dark nothing else is needed... it is all there...

Aah - I love the way that paint mixes naturally when you allow two basic colours to slightly blend. There is a touch of Jackson Pollock within this though there is a planned element to the piece. I think the fact that the canvas isn't completely flat adds to the effect, though if you turn the painting over and put water on the back of the canvas it should tighten it up - don't know if you know this already but I didn't find out for quite some time heh. Great piece - I love it

This is possibly the best piece you've ever produced, in my opinion. I love this, really well done.

love these works george. I can't wait to see more. I was very curious how your "style" would translate to traditional pieces and I am very pleased

like the work -- it becomes more interesting when we try the work with other elements (straw | bowl) -- there are somethings that a computer is just not capable of doing -- traditional still rocks -- later days

You should try out ceramics or sculpture. No wait...metal jewlry! I don't know if you could find those kinds of things, but I've taken metal jewlry and had fun with that class. Right now I'm in ceramics and am having a blast

I really like it; it has a very sinister mood to it. I'm reminded of an insect of some sort.. like a praying mantis! The circles from the bowls being the arms and legs, and the white at the top there being its head and eyes.
I really like this one!

What can I say besides it's very good? Reminds me of Pollock though... (?)
Do you have a image in mind when you start or do you develop after the first drops of paint?
If it's just a coincidence that in the end it becomes this strong image, well, then you are a lucky artist.
Keep up with the experiments!
Tried to find the first experiment but without any luck. Would like to see it.

yeah actually i got the Pollock thing too from one of the first tragitional artists that i showed my work to. which i think is actually cool. i do admire Pollock's work, but im not trying to be him, if anything, im trying to take the inspiration and blend it with my own ideas and skills. one thing i will be doing is using stencils (you can see that in intro , while intro was only stencils and spray paint, it was just my first experiment with them.
with tapeworm and my first piece (which will be released in a few weeks with the second part of depthcore's deluxe) i really didnt have anything in mind. but with comoform and my fourth work (look for it in the second part of deluxe also) i did have ideas.
they usually start out with something like a few colors that i really want to use, or in this case with comoform, i really wanted to do something with circles. so its more like i have an idea, then i kinda let it flow as i actually start painting.
thanks for the comments and questions
and please do keep watching, if my painting takes shape the way that my digital work did, its going to get crazy!
