About a year ago, SonataBlaze suggested I should make some of my own Mystery Skulls OCs. I had no idea what to make at the time so I brushed it off for other projects until I forgot about it. But when the new episode "Hellbent" got released, it reminded me of his request and gave me a great idea. Since the Mystery Skulls series is basically Scooby-Doo (but with dead gay Fred and gay Shaggy) I decided to create a trio of three monsters inspired by the wicked band in Scooby-Doo:"The Hex Girls".

The spider-girl in the center is named Rosemary, but her friends just call her "Rose" for short. The green ragdoll on the right is Nyx. And the blue ghostly girl on the left is Selina.

Rosemary: She is the granddaughter of Thorn a.k.a the lead singer in The Hex Girls. Before meeting up with her friends she was just a regular human who meddled a bit too much in magic. At the age of 14 she explored an ancient tomb by herself and touched an artifact that cursed her to have the appearance and abilities of a spider. Rose figured she could never go back to her old life so she fled to the woods and called it home. Now she hangs out with Nyx and Selina and together they practice making spells, potions, and hexes.

Nyx: A mad scientist wanted to give his daughter a companion for her birthday. So he took her favorite toy, a green ragdoll she named Nyx, made her life-size and brought her to life. The scientist offered Nyx to his daughter and for a few years Nyx brought her happiness. But then the daughter decided she didn't want her anymore and so she threw Nyx out. Just a few days later she befriended Rosemary and Selina and hasn't left their side since.

Selina: She is a weeping woman better known as "La Llorona". Like the tale she too fell in love with a man and had kids. But the man adored the kids more than her so she drowned them. Then she regretted it and spent the last hundred years searching for them in the river while crying. If any children came upon her she'd drown them too. However Rosemary comes across her while wandering the forest and convinces Selina that her children are gone yet still with her and would want her to spend the rest of her afterlife happy. Selina is now much happier spending time with Rosemary and Nyx.
