This was for an Illustration class assignment. The only information we received was 'do a 9x12" advertisement', so this is what I chose to do. In Metroid Prime 3, you use the Nintendo Wii's remote controller to aim Samus' arm cannon. It allows for much more of a natural gameplay experience than aiming with a joystick (though mouse and keyboard users still swear by their own method).Anyway, I just thought it would be cool to show her arm cannon as the actual controller. Done with Adobe Illustrator CS2.

nicely done, and i very much like the style, very crisp. the pose and perspective is great, hope you got good marks for this.
the aiming in metroid prime 3 was great, a little slow sometimes, but worked well.

i love that game its the one of the best first person shooters out there. but i think halo 3 might have beat it. I loved halo for graphics and story line but metroid primes shooting with the wii controller is pretty sweet. Great gob with the art love it

This got my attention through an unfortunate incident.. someone stealing it and posting it as their own over at Nintendo's official forum.
That has been taken care of though, and I wanted to post and say that I think this piece is fantabulous, and you might have even won and gotten your art in the magazine if *you* had entered it.
I love the concept and how clean the piece is.

Samus looks totally correct, and while this, everything in the picture is supported by the great cel shading style. Really good work, a lovely image!
