Story Summary:
Lydia was a young lady who wanted to be an author more than anything, but she didn't have the fund or the connections. Antwon, a wealthy nobleman, said he saw her potential. He made her an offer, if she were to marry him, he'd pay for her book to be published, distributed, and advertised. It sounded like a good deal but Lydia was unsure if she wanted to marry just so she could be a published author. Antwon decided to win her over with dates and gifts. In the end, Lydia agrees to marry him. That's when his true colors began to show. He was manipulative and abusive. He wanted her to do nothing but write all day, and if she disobeyed he would get violent. Antwon would never let Lydia leave the house either. She was his little treasure. What an unfortunate tale.
