Description
Height 5 foot 7 inchesDex Entry: Infekdread are notoriously hard to keep down. Although their bodies appear frail and worn down, they can take an enourmous amount of abuse. Infekdread often use BITE during battle, with a strange effect. If left untreated, a bitten pokemon may go through a strange phenomenon, where it “evolves” into a new Zomby.
Ability
-Infect-
Attacks involving bites or scratches will change the opponent's ability into "Infected".
-Infected-
Slowly lowers maximum HP with every taken step. If pokemon is knocked out, it will 'evolve' into a Zomby unless revived within 3 minutes of KO. Ability can be reversed only at Pokemon Centers. Once an infected pokemon has been KO'd, reviving the pokemon will not reset the 3 minute count down to transformation.
Evolves from [link] at level 36.
Name origin is a combination of Infect & dread.
(I was thinking about Infekdead at first...but I thought it would sound too much like Infected...)
Shinies are suppose to look like the colorful Day of the Dead skeletons.

Maybe there can be an insectoid variety for ones that are born from a bug type.

I mean then that would need a type equivalent for half the typings if that were the case lol
Water, flying, ground, dragon, and ghost at the least often have direct correlation to body types, in addition to bug lol
No favoritism here, they all become the same zomby
Hmmm. Although, maaaaaybe that does open an interesting idea...

Yeah, that's not at all the vision I had for it, and I have no intention of making a version for so many variations lol.
I might make 2 alternate versions. Maybe. But it's a strong maybe lol.

I just want to say that I LOVE your concept for these Fakemon. Everything is just executed so perfectly, even their Abilities! Since Ghost-types have been around since the beginning, we got mummies with Dusclops and Cofagrigus, Gliscor is partially a vampire, and Sun/Moon are giving us a werewolf Pokemon, I think it's way past time for a zombie-like Pokemon. Nintendo and Game Freak should definitely use your designs.

The transformation should be temporary. So you don't lose a legendary for a stupid zomby forever

It feels like it would be cool if this was a three stage. If the Zomby were stage one, something was stage 2 and this was 3 or this was 2 and there was something crazy as stage 3.

Prinny-Dood In reply to jimmythedawg [2013-07-08 16:03:47 +0000 UTC]
Eh, I feel like there are too many 3 stage pokemon. And that I myself make 3 stage far too often, so I like to keep 2 stages when I can. I may be a bit biased on that, because I have a lot of pokemon that I was never satisfied with that have never been put up that I also have in mind when I consider this. 3 stages dominate a large portion of what I create. Besides, even though Belzades is a legendary & isn't related by evolution to this line, it's suppose to be sort of visually like a stage 3, without actually being a stage 3.

I really wish people would ask me about these things before they just did them. :/
I mean its flattering and all but I have a problem with people taking my stuff and uploading it elsewhere while removing the watermarks... It helps to make sure people aren't screwing me when I can keep track :/

Prinny-Dood In reply to Lowhood [2013-05-04 16:49:17 +0000 UTC]
The 3 minute count down only starts once a pokemon is KO'd with the ability. It doesn't start once it gains the ability itself. And since the game would alert you to when the ability was changed, if you reeeeaally wanted to avoid it, you could just switch that infected pokemon out and keep them from getting KO'd while they have the ability. I think it needs a sense of urgency... I mean it IS a pokemon equivalent to a zombie. But it also has ways to ward the effects off if you're careful

Does your pokemon that turns into a zomby retain its moveset? Cause if thats the case then you could potentially have an infectdread with any move you want. what if all your pokemon are knocked out? do you just see the black screen that says you scurry back to the pokemon centre then when your there you look in you pokemon party and there all zomby? can you halt the evolution with b?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Prinny-Dood In reply to SamSymphonia [2012-10-12 02:08:36 +0000 UTC]
Yes, it will retain -most- of it's moves, although one move will be randomly changed to bite. It should also be noted, that the pokemon's level may change upon becoming a Zomby. If the infected pokemon's level is 15 or below, they will stay whatever level they are after becoming Zomby. If their level is over 15, it will lower to 15. It should be noted however, that the higher the level prior to transformation, the base stats for Zomby will be bumped up a bit.(If you've ever played Disgaea, it works similarly to the transmigration system.) The stat buff will also carry over to when it evolves into Infekdread.
Also, no you cannot cancel the transformation/"evolution" with B, and if your entire team gets KO'd you will keep whatever pokemon you had. If one of your pokemon already became a Zomby, it will still be a Zomby, but any others that were infected but not transformed will be their original state and original ability.

Ooh, that ability is HARSH. I'd hate to have one of them hanging around a Pokemon-packed forest, or if I ever got into another stalemate battle while heading for a Pokemon centre... (Especially if it Bit a Legendary, then I might have to kill you curse your name.)

They're only located in one area in the (hypothetical) game, one which gives many warnings upon entering and is entirely optional... If you go in without proper regards, its your own fault
As for battling other RL trainers, I imagine it would likely be banned in any kind of tournament anyway because of it's ability.

Umm... i wouldnt exactly put this in a kids game due to its creepy attack that causes pokemon to change species and it would be a pain if it happened to be a legendary which you can only obtain one and worked hard to do so and just got to lvl 100
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Prinny-Dood In reply to Trakyan [2011-11-11 05:38:31 +0000 UTC]
Infekdread would only found in one area of the game that is non essential to the story and 100% optional, clearly marked for it's danger. If you brought a one of a kind legendary into the area and got screwed, its your own fault for ignoring the warnings. Also, my "game" would have a much more mature aim. Not like Mature rating audience, but it would aim for a slightly older audience than current pokemon.
But regardless, these are fan pokemon. They aren't in a real game, and never will be in an official game. They're only made for fun, and take full advantage of the fact that by not being official, they aren't bound by official pokemon rules.

i have an idea ( it whould a take a shit ton of time though)... make a Undeadish version of every pokemon... like i said... it whould take a while but it whould be awsem... it shouldnt effect legendaries ( for obvous reasons) and not effect ghost types (ring target shouldnt effect that outcome) ... but this is my opinion. you have your own; great work eather way ^_^

Nah, the whole point of Infekdread is to reproduce more Zomby and Infekdread, since thats the only way the species HAS to reproduce. I'd feel like they were just neopets paintbrushes, in pokemon form, if I made them turn every pokemon into an undead version of their existing selves.

Well, the area where wild ones are located is heavily warned and non-essential to the plot, so if you go in unprepared, its your own fault.
Plus, its not that hard to avoid the change if you just pay close attention to your pokemon.

i know i read that infekdread are only in 1 area ( aside from the outlaw league)and if u come unprepaired its your own fault i get that. but still. legendaries? i know what your trying to get across but make it so that it only effects regular non legendarys, or atleast make them all so slow that the slowest legendary (from what i have observed: deoxys def form) can run away from it.
great work dont get me wrong i just think that it should work on legendaries. but thetre has to be atleast 1 part tot the storyline where u encounder a trainers infekdread. and u have say... your starter? but i guess its a little extra insentive to always buy an escape rope evry time u pass a PokeC^_^ but i just dont want (because stitisticly its imposible that this wont happen witha all the idiots out there...) eather
1: some lil kid getting their Hymanos infected and forgetting with their little attention spans
