My dad feels the same way, favoring the Kindle e-reader over real books. I like real books because they don't need battries, or the need to be recharged. I like the kindle because I can put fimfiction and other text documents on them and read it on the go.

I refuse to believe that books are a dying media. People will always use them because in the end only one thing will matter. Books, paper, they don't need to be recharged or have batterys.

I don't believe they're a dying media either for the exact same reason you specified. When it comes down to it data can be lost or corrupted, a machine could break, or batteries could die but a book is always going to be there.
