Personality Tough, both mentally and physically, smart, and cunning. Great at
strategy and war tactics. Also in love with Mirage. But he has enough sense to not make
a move with her while Ezazel is alive. Him and Ezazel are old friends, met each other in
Italy. He lost his newlywed and Ezazel and him tried desperately to save her. He hasn't
really ever been the same after that. He sometimes sees her, but then cusses at himself
and walks away. Knowing it wasn't her.
History Makivis was born post renaissance, in the southern boot of Italy. After
having a struggle with his father about his choice in marriage, he fled with his fiance, Sofia.
The eventually washed up on Isla Trappola, after falling off a boat bound for Rome. After
walking around for several days, they found other horses. For years they lived happily
on the island. Humans didn't bother them, there was plenty to eat, and the island was
beautiful. Only one problem, Sofia could not bear children.
--Eventually, a dark stallion named Ezazel washed up on the island. Ezazel told them things
about the world off the island, and about the 'king' Nyle. Ezazel then made a plan to get off
the island. Which went acording to plan, until the horses had to run, where Ezazel took a
crossbow bolt to his lungs, almost piercing his heart. Then the archer drew down on him
again, but Sofia lunged, and took the bolt to the chest.
--Sofia believed that Ezazel was a saint, sent to rid the world of the cruel tyrant Nyle. Which
is why she lunged, to save the saint, and hopefully allow him to kill Nyle. The next night,
Sofia died. Makivis then decided that they were going to kill Nyle, and sent off to find the
Saphyra leader, Vex, that killed Ezazel's mom. After a while, Vex agreed to let them train
the horses in fighting. Makivis had learned fighting from his father when he was young,
and training the Saphyra was rather easy.
--After close to 2 years of training, they set out to the woods, with the plan to kill Nyle. Vex
gave Ezazel his mother's dagger, which he had been keeping, should Ezazel return. They
all charged, Makivis and Ezazel fighting side by side, eventually ending with Makivis killing
Nyles demon jaguar, Rachiotche, and Ezazel killing Nyle.
--Afterwards, Makivis and Ezazel split, and Makivis walked north. Leaving his life behind,
everything that reminded him of his Sofia. He left to find the "Saphyra Immortal" that could
give him immortal life. He did eventually find her, and fell in love. When he started to love
her, he said Sofia, only once, very softly. She became outraged, and cursed him. You
shall live forever, but be tormented by death, and despair for all of eternity. He didn't
realize what this meant until his death in 1501, where he was reborn at age 10, when he
had been cursed by the Saphyra. He could remember parts of his past, the fight with Nyle,
the horse that cursed him. The only thing he remembered clearly was a waking nightmare
of his beloved being shot. Over and over again.
--Much later, in 1909, he met Ezazel and Mirage. Ezazel was taking a boat to the Americas.
After having what all they did fully explained, Makivis joined them. So desperately trying to
leave Italy behind. He also fell in love with the beautiful Mirage, but didn't want to hurt
Ezazel, so he kept quiet about it. Once leaving the boat, the trio set out for the West
coast, to see the other side of the Pacific ocean, which Ezazel had seen from Asia. After
reaching the coast, they set back east, to establish a herd for them. And after several years
of fighting the lydes, the Myst territory was established in 2012.
