This reminds me me of when I was younger -forgot which grade exactly, maybe first, maybe third,- when we read this book in class.
The caterpillar made a kid next to me start crying. I don't know why.
...Though it might have been because I told him that after the caterpillar ate everything it was going to get so fat it'd explode. He didn't believe me, so I 'explained' to him that first the caterpillar was gonna wrap itself in a cocoon -yes we knew what cocoons were- to try and become a butterfly, but it was so fat that it'd brake the cocoon and explode because it wasn't supposed to come out until it was a butterfly. To kids our age this made perfect sense...you might guess what happened afterwards.
I seriously didn't mean anything mean by it, though. It was something that made more sense to me after all the things I'd been told by my cousin's than what actually happened at the end...Ah sweet innocence, how I miss thee...
I prefer this version better though. It brings back memories! *glomps* Shockwave reminds me of that boy. Poor, poor Shockwave. Kickback is so cute. The first thing I thought when I saw him was, 'WTF did he trick Shockwave into doing!?'

(...although tbh i was a bit of a know-it-all and OBSESSED with insects so i probably wouldn't've believed you. And then i would have lectured you on lepidoptera for the rest of the class.)

I probably would have deserved your lecture. I as too gullible back then and my cousins could convince me of anything. I needed a good rant then, especially since I knew zip about bugs beyond what was necessary in an elementay class...I was more into skeletal structures then...

i like the idea. moths are cool, butterflies of the night! yeah, with being nocturnal they are associated with spookiness.
shrapnel's really the only one of the three i could imagine having a love interest...though kickback's the hottie!

The insecticons are cute in general, but Shrapnel was sort of the leader so he's the one who gets a love interest out of all of them. Although I might consider having the others have a crush on her even though she only has optics for Shrapnel.
