The Black Grotta suddenly appeared after a submarine volcano partially collapsed, causing disasters that lasted for months. Nobody knows exactly why it collapsed, but there are rumours of a mysterious entity inhabiting the dephts of the earth. So, to appease this entity, the K'hara, people of this world that lived by the sea, started making sacrifices. Every four years, when their two moons aligned, they would throw one of their own into the sea, hoping to prevent another disaster.

But one day, they chose a special girl, G'rierrah. She had been born beneath the moons, thus gifted, but the people did not recognize her ability. So, when she was thrown into the water and sank beneath the waves, she waited for the entity to consume her, but instead, she saw the Grotta and the powerful glow emanating from it. When she swam towards it, trying to hold her breath, she spotted a white orb floating in the middle of the cavern. But after she touched it, the marks on her body she had had since birth glowed and pulsated along with the orb's light. She suddenly found it easy to breathe as her skin became more smooth and scaly, her legs growing together to form a tail and strings of black light growing from her back. The entity had chosen her, the girl of the moon, to be its guardian and appease it.

Forever since, the sacrifices made by the K'hara were lead towards the Black Grotta by its guardian and put to sleep for one last time with her black light.
