Having lost his legs in an explosion involving the spider-powered hero, Recluse, Mitchel McCracken, a brilliant scientist skilled in genetics, mechanical engineering, physics, radiology, and robotics, created a harness with robotic tentacles, and attached it to his lower body. Mitchel then confronted Recluse as the deadly Kraken! (PL 8).

Actually this particular Marvel homage (if you lost the arachnid tie-in) is original enough that it doesn't immediately, obviously reek of trademark infringement. Also, I really like the design. Two more tentacles wouldn't hurt.

Aww feel bad for the guy. I mean he only has 4 mechanical tentacle legs. Id have had 6 or 8 like my oceanic counter part, leaving my striking arms free.
