The joke’s on you, Luigi!
It’s the King of Boos!
Today’s Señor Booyah’s birthday, so I figured there was no better time to draw King Boo. Booyah loves spooky games like Luigi’s Mansion. Speaking of: How did Luigi escape this flaming hellscape after sucking up the ghost that brought him there? Did he… actually die, and everything after has been an illusion?

That boss fight with King Boo in the first Luigi's Mansion was a pain in the ass.

It was all an illusion to begin with. Once King Boo (who held the whole place together) was gone, so too was the illusion of the house he made. Luigi, likely, woke back up in the empty room, took his brother in hand and went directly to see the professor. While he was there, once they had turned King Boo into a painting, the house vanished.
But anyway, this is an epic picture! It conveys the battle well, and you actually got King Boo's colors right! To many people draw him with a pink tongue, when I'm sure it was blue the first time we ever saw this guy.

From my research I found there are at least three different versions of King Boo. This picture combines a few different traits: his original Luigi's Mansion crown, as well as his red eyes and blue tongue. However, I gave him four teeth as opposed to the two he sports in LM.

I never liked Luigi's Mansion (it had the most obnoxious control scheme I've ever used, second to Sonic and the Secret Rings), but I've always thought King Boo was awesome.

In addition to a cute pic of King Boo, you've got some intriguing thoughts about the end of game in your description. Maybe that's where Luigi's..."interesting" final smash in Brawl came from; he didn't survive. Or maybe Nintendo will explain things in Luigi's Mansion 2.
