Description
I present to ya. The daughter of Summer Rose!Ruby Rose is for me , the most the adorable character in RWBY. Even if RWBY Volume 5 airs soon, The RWBY Hype is reaaaaal!
This is just a quick art. Ye know, I haven't drawn in a while so I need to like , uhhhh,, remove the rust first? xD! I don't really know how to explain it.!

Hi! So I am coming straight from ProjectComment and I want to give you a critique!
So, right off the bat, the overall piece is pleasing to look at. It has good color choice and nothing is too over the top.
There is a background! I love the brick style which gives it this fairytale-vibe. The character is presented well, there is a pose to it and it doesn't look bland.
The lineart is very smooth and clean. Although on some spots it looks a bit weird because of the texture...
The folds are a bit weird... especially on the cape. It is too "puffed up" and it should be flatter. In my personal opinion, the highlights on the cloth of the cape are a bit too over the top, and a personal tip of mine is, to tone it down on the lineart when it comes to folds and instead make them more apparent through the shading, however, that is just more of a personal preference.
The hair is very flowy and dynamic. However, I'd maybe think more about the highlights, because the highlights look like they've been scattered randomly over the hair.
I like the shading on the skin. It looks very natural and the reddish tint gives it more liveliness. I am not a big fan of the rimlight on the face though, they are a bit too bright.
I really like the eyes, the style is very unique and the highlights make them pop.
The hands anatomy is mostly correct, but the index finger bothers me a bit. I think that the index finger is a bit too narrow at the top, I advise looking at some references.
What looks a bit weird about the picture is the texture. It is too "apparent" and too fine. If you want to add some texture on the cloth, I'd look for a high resolution piece and scale it up, and lower the opacity so it is only there to spice the piece up. I wouldn't add texture on the hair, it will look the hair more flat.
To conclude: This piece is stunning when it comes to atmosphere and color choice. The texture on the hair and cloth is a bit unnecessary. What is really good about this piece is the liveliness and energy it has.
Overall, this piece is really good. In my opinion, there are some things that can be improved, but take one step at a time.
