Agreed, but the Tesla weapon was one of the first energy weapons experimentes on. On a KV-2, it makes sense, since they fall into the same age, though the Tesla cannon is still not realized.

Then probably a russian IS-2? That tank looks SciFi enough to look good with a Phasor beam, Plasma Lance or Ion Disruptor!
On a M3 Grand you could even install 2 cannons!

The HUGE turret of KV-2 (of course for 152mm howitzer) is good enough, because tesla or other weapons could take more interior space, for everything inside

Their turrets are quite a bit smaller. They "only" carried the eight-eight.
But their characteristic look makes them popular, both tanks were feared for their strengh and armor.

Wow, what a beauty of a tank. I think I like the brown paint scheme over the Soviet green color it originally was is better in my opinion. Hey, if you play World of Tanks, you'll know the 152mm cannon is a devastating gun if you ever get hit with it. While the main drawback of the 152 is it's rate of fire, the amount of damage and armor penetration was sufficient for a tier VI (six) gun. It can easily destroy any tank under it's tier or badly hurt other tanks of the same tier or higher. The other drawback is it's high profile and slow maneuverability, however, this issue is countered by strong frontal armor. The KV-2 is not a brawler with the 152mm cannon and it's best to use it behind cover like boulders, buildings or natural defensive points on the battle field.
I don't know how a Tesla Cannon would perform in a live battle experience. From what I understand that concept fired a bolt of plasma at a target. What it does to tank armor and or the crew of the tank on the receiving end I have no clue. I kinda think of the Tesla Cannon being a bolt of lighting and frying most if not, all of the electrical components inside the tank. Though, your talking about tanks from the late 1940 and 60's era... most of them were hand powered with gears and basic hydraulics. So I really can't even begin to speculate on the probabilities of this tank concept even been a battle effective tank. I JUST DON'T KNOW!
