You did a fantastic job! What material is this helmet made from? Fiberglass? Slush cast resin? bubble gum?

Hi there,
I would like to put it 10 times into my favorites, if I could. Really cool design, and it looks so great with the lights and the scratched metal. Right now i am thinking of doing something similar. Great job.
So long

Make sure any clay you use (if you plan to apply a silicon mold) has a zero sulfur content as this will inhibit a silicon mold from curing. Monster clay works well and is re-useable lots of times. You could also, if you don't feel like using fiberglass epoxy; mold your helmet in silicon and then slush cast it with a 2 part liquid plastic using an inner support shell made from a full head paintball helmet.

Oil based clay will probably be your best bet for making the sculpture of your helmet in the space you have. You can cast a mold in silicone or plaster bandages of the sculpture, then lay in fiberglass/polyester or epoxy resin for the final product. When you demold the product, bondo/sand the final surface smooth, Paint and detail it, and then you are done. Working in a tiny apartment and choosing the right material for the limited space is always tough.

Oh. My. God. That is amazing. This destroys all pepakura helmets and armor I've ever seen.
