I would also love to see a movie version more like this.

While I am confused about the leg joints in the human's power armour, I still think this is a great picture and a wonderful representation of the images presented in the book.

I absolutely love this! I actually enjoyed the movie, the television series, and subsequent movies which followed said series. In addition to that, the book is enjoyable as well. It is actually partly because of the starship troopers' world that I've delved into the Tyranid faction in Warhammer 40k. This image is well done and really paints a story without any words. Well done.

As a book, Starship Troopers is a polemic, using an sf arena to chew over how society was changing in the late 1950s, and so it does not provide the sort of tech-design details that a graphic novel would have needed. however, i think it would be really interesting to see some decent Starship Troopers artwork using late-1950s styling cues eg M48/M50 cues applied to power armour, F7 Cutlass cues to TAC fighters. although the book's themes remain topical, imho if there is ever another movie then full 1950s retro-styling is the only way to go...
