It's interesting to see how you structure everything as a set of simple layers.
Thanks for showing us how it's done!

It almost looks like it can fold up into a more compact shape for transport. Cool design.

Reminds me a bit of the terminator drone concepts.

Looks great.

Very nice. Thank you for sharing the steps, I'm not sure of those legs/feet, but otherwise I like the design (I am very odd about feet on mecha..)

sometimes odd is good for a design
what kind of legs/feet do you like?

Silverlion In reply to ProgV [2011-01-23 23:59:09 +0000 UTC]

Just something that looks like it takes advantage of having legs--feet big enough for it to stand on (Why have legs if it can't stand on them?)

No worries though, odd is good for design.

yeah actually u r right
big feet can make the area of thrust surface bigger, and let the mecha carry more equipments.

thanks just TO ASK YA
for ur step 4 do u apply the dark areas with overlay/multiply layer or just painting over the previous paint

ProgV In reply to ShadowSnake67 [2010-11-25 07:08:03 +0000 UTC]

just painting over the previous paint. but i feel regret about that method to apply the dark areas, so i suggest you painting on a new layer...
