That's actually a damn interesting picture - though I, truth be told, have absolutely no idea what Pixiv Fantasia actually is, I love the weapon designs, and the composition really works in with the picture. Honestly, I do think that you should have placed more emphasis on what's in front of them, as compared to the relatively boring area behind them.

its a contest. artists can choose countries they like to join in, and design weapons, characters, environments and stuff like that for their country. the more pageviews your country have, the more powerful your country is.
