Description [ENG]

I really don't know what to type here, it's late and i am tired, so....have some Horus, The Twice Born! I think i managed to get the anatomy less "fractured" and more fluid this time around, i am also really liking this color scheme! Thank you all who gave feedback on the last drawing though, it really helped a lot!

Game Dev is freaking hard by the way c,:

Edit: updated hand because of problems with the reference and because i felt it wasn't coveying right his personality.

[PT-BR]

Nice bird, are you going to use him for a comic/story?

tabletop? like a pen and paper d&d?
by the way he could make a good protagonist of a story

It was more along the line of "7 Wonders" or "Catan", though i could see him coming from something like dnd c:

And yeah, he kind of has that protagonist vibe on him (even in the original mythos he had that going on). Thank you so much for the interest! ^^

bird anthros are a favorite of mine, its good to see a well drawn one, its a shame that birds are probably the rarest kind of anthro

Haha thanks! I am flattered by your kindness! c:
It's a shame really, but if you really look for them you might find a bunch you like! Not sure the same can be said for fishes or bugs tho :Y

you can find some sharks here and there and there is the sergal which are based on sharks, not sure about bugs, when you search bird anthros you find a lot of winged non-birds anthros im guessing they add bird in the tags because of the wings.
in general the canids(specially foxes) and felines are the ones with most numbers but reptiles got a good number too.

I really like axolotls too. They are pretty rare but they make for some great sonas too ^^
It good to hear that the lizards are doing fine, they are often my favorites

the problem with bugs is that you need to be very specific when searching for them, simply typing bug will not get that many results.
i think dragons are the most common kind of anthro lizards.
the problem with birds is that many other things gets tagged as bird, even someone wearing a feathered headgear is sometimes tagged as birds.

Well, i am all in for dragons being that popular, they are my favorites!
As for birds, it's a shame the get the low end of it. So many cool design possibilities ^^

I think that birds are really cool too, many artists do not draw them because they think that they are too hard to draw which i think that this must vary alot from person to person(there are people who find them easy to draw after all), other artists give very nonsense explanations.

Yeah, i too had a hard time trying to draw them, but the outcome is often worth the trouble

i think part of the trouble comes when trying to do a detailed drawing since birds have alot of details, but if it's a simple drawing birds shouldnt be too difficult

Ahhh valeu!!

Proj-FATAL In reply to Rahptorr [2017-10-12 13:58:25 +0000 UTC]

Thank you! This claw tho...i actually had to use a reference because it was such a hard perspective to get right, but i certainly learned a thing or two and it end up looking nice after all.
I am glad that you liked it! ^^

Rahptorr In reply to Proj-FATAL [2017-10-12 21:33:58 +0000 UTC]

References are totally legit, you can only improve your drawing, if you know how somethings looks right, right?
And hands, claws in this case, are always so difficult for me to draw. So I enjoy it when they look good

Proj-FATAL In reply to Rahptorr [2017-10-13 01:18:23 +0000 UTC]

Yeah hands are either a hit or miss with me as well lol. I think references are a must for learning, but not so much when you're gonna use it for a work or project.

I used a reference for hand, which i traced over to get a feel for the shape then reference the outcome of that again so it wasn't, you know, traced art. I dunno, it just felt wrong to have it like that and it was kinda out of place in the whole character after all, so i took it out and updated it with the one you see now. I am kinda petty when it comes to references...it's a bad habit of mine ^^'

Haha, I often find myself in these situations too ^^, when reference and drawing looks too similar, new claw still looks nice tho
