Size: roughly the size of palms
Niche: Palm trees and anemones
Planet of origin: Rivulet-6
Description: Bug-barks are large sessile animals that fill the role of flora on their home world and here on the Mishmash planet, they are large almost worm like in nature, the sport a large array of feeding tentacles with teeth lining the skyward sides to snatch up any prey items that land among their canopy, sporting a mouth at the centre of their array of feeding arms, said feeding arms contain a red photosynthetic pigment of which they get most of their energy from. moving down the body you will find several eyestalks that act more as a means of detecting grazers actively trying to take out a chunk of their canopy so they can tuck up into their shell until it leaves. they also have a thick, chitinous shell that covers most of their body, it's a deep earthy greenish brown to blend in with the native flora's undergrowth of Rivulet-6. they also have a complex life cycle that consists of several motile larval stages and a sessile adult stage. despite this, adult specimens can uproot and move to more favourable lands if said environment is rather cluttered or has alot of frequent traveling animals. they also have pale purple flowers that sprout from their mouthparts with sweet fragrances wafting through the air to get the attention of pollinators with a sweet reward with their gametes, when fertilized the flowers turn a brilliant blue and a sweet and fatty thick sticky syrup and eggs as hard as rocks fill the cups of the flowers in hopes that some of its eggs end up caught on the skin or filaments of pollinators to be dropped off to distant lands.
