Niche: Seagull niche
Planet of origin: Rubidia
Description: Roughly human-sized predators of the coasts, reminiscent of dragons. Being adapted for life both in and around water, they occupy a seagull-like niche, scavenging carrion opportunistically, diving for fish and snatching up crustaceans and sometimes smaller vertebrates with their beak-like jaws. Nerogulls are rather gregarious and are often seen in loose flocks around the coasts, emitting melodic calls that echo across coastal cliffs. Nesting colonies are established on rocky outcrops, nerogull young developing rapidly, learning both aerial and aquatic tactics from their parents who mate for life
