I actually started this last year when I picked Ocarina of Time for my 3DS and I realized Princess Ruto actually looked quite pretty, for a Zora that is. I was always kind of a fan of how cute she acted around Link. So I decided to give them a dip through what we can presume to be Lake Hyrule. Yes Link should probably be wearing the blue tunic, but his green is too iconic, and maybe Ruto is helping with the oxygen supply
All in all, I really enjoyed doing this piece. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot doing it. Took around 40 hours I think (I really need to work on drawing faster) in Photoshop with my Intuos3.

I think I should tell you; another artist has this very same drawing here on her DA account and even claims within the description that she drew it herself. It can be found here;Β
I just compared the two deviations, and I see that the upload date on yours says it was posted more than a year before this other one, and looking at the both of your galleries, I can see enough consistency in your art that I can believe you to be the true artist behind this image whereas the other even has ignored comments on her page pointing out that most of what's in her gallery isn't her own. Now, I don't know if you've permitted her to use your art or not, but there is definitely someone else here posting it in their own gallery. I just thought you might like to know, since I don't see any other comments here pointing it out yet.

I always wonder, why Ruto has boobs? She isn't mamal.

that's why they left out the nipples, because she's not a mammal and there's no need for her to feed her children with milk. The boobs are probably there because Zoras still have human-like DNA, or if you'd like to take the creators POV, to make her look more feminine

GREATJOB! You added some beautiful details in there though you missed something: The link you drew there (with the hair parted to e left, the chainmail, those gauntlets, etc) is actually Twilight Princess Link, not Ocarina of Time Link. Over all, this is beautiful(:
