I actually started this last year when I picked Ocarina of Time for my 3DS and I realized Princess Ruto actually looked quite pretty, for a Zora that is. I was always kind of a fan of how cute she acted around Link. So I decided to give them a dip through what we can presume to be Lake Hyrule. Yes Link should probably be wearing the blue tunic, but his green is too iconic, and maybe Ruto is helping with the oxygen supply
All in all, I really enjoyed doing this piece. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot doing it. Took around 40 hours I think (I really need to work on drawing faster) in Photoshop with my Intuos3.

This is a beautiful piece, but as a Zelda fan, I have to point out the inconsistency in this picture: Link is wearing his Twilight Princess outfit here, but Ruto is from the Ocarina of Time storyline, so she never would have met TP Link. An annoying detail that was overlooked, but artistically, it's really well done, especially your colors!!

Well, well, Daily Deviation deserved! As long as you keep your wonderful high standard you could possibly just take the time you need for it^^
Mostly I can only say two things on this: "beautiful" and "flawless". It almost brings shame to every original Artwork. That's what I love about deviantArt! At this moment: Thank's for beeing here, by the way.
However, Links eyes look pretty uncommon. I think they turned out a bit small, or maybe it's the distance between them... or maybe it's just a unique style-vision of yours, in that case, 'nuff said, I think. Looks great anyway, just uncommon
The other thing is the Zora-Smaragd. Compared to the detail seen on the rest of this loveley picture the jewel looks almost a bit left behind. I'm sure you could have turned it to a flickering sparkle-miracle (or something like that^^).
What I like about this piece of Art is just too much to recall here. Lets leave it at some examples:
- Links fully detailed Twilight Princess Outfit. It's so cool that you see the chain mail!
- Rutos skin patterns. Just great hiw they turned out!
