Description
An MA-series weapon platform modified to carry 4 high-altitude anti-air flak cannons. The cannon platform's original purpose was to counter high-altitude bombers, but combat records have shown that the explosive flak shells also deal heavy, sometimes crippling, damage to mobile suit joints. Later upgrades to the MA-2 have increased the rotational speed of the turret as well as automated target tracking systems. Despite its strengths, the inability of flak fragments to distinguish friend and foe have kept the MA-2 from rolling into the front lines.
