To fix a broken image on DA:

Click on it, as it zooms it in. This has worked 100% of the time for me, AND it zooms it in ^.^

As F3ARFoxy said, just click on the image and it'll zoom in, allowing you to see it.

Ooh, this is cool. Reminds me of the time I tried building a big, expansive universe, and... hmm, nothing /bad/ happened, I just sorta stopped working on it.

I'm gonna get back on that horse ^^

Question, though: What's "Dead disk rift"?

Thanks! I know the feeling - I've created many worlds and such but this is the one that I really feel.

Haven't figured out the science behind it yet, but it's a region of space which screws with gravimetric sensors, causing slip-FTL to be much more difficult (hence the very lightly used lanes, and the only-now discovered Dyson Sphere)

Me too, except without the last half. I've got about half a dozen ideas that I wanna tie into a single world, but no idea how to go about it.

Hey, here's a scientific explanation: There're a bunch of black holes there in orbit around each other, which form odd waves in local spacetime/gravity, so it seems like there's something there when there isn't. Thankfully, none of the waves are big enough to hit and destroy any inhabited systems, and the few that make it that distance are too weak to affect it. However, in that area, not only is there the risk of getting crushed to a single point, but your sensors don't work thanks to the seemingly random fluctuations caused by so many black holes, all orbiting each other.

I love the explanation, definitely going to use it.

This map is only a portion of the Intersol universe, which is enormous and has tons of different worlds - the story is they are all stemming from an Earth diaspora. I work only at small portions at any time, which helps keep things in perspective as well as not being overwhelming. For example, see that arrow at the bottom of my map that says "Arcem"?... that is another one of my worlds, and it loosely ties into this one. Another one is an enormous collection of alien citystates just to the bottom of this map (outwards), which ties into the plot of my story in this world (reference to aliens in my map and summary). etc.

Oh, I see. That's clever.
