I agree that 'boredom' is not the right title. Sometimes the title can make or break the shot.

I named it because I was really bored y'day so I decided to play with photoshop.

Morever, I am really into lighting these days. I really want to have a nice set of studio lights so I can do more stuff.

As for this shot...I just took a picture of myself in my room using a flash which was bounced of the ceiling. I had to mask out all the background. I then applied radial gradient and gave it a sense of some weird lighting. I then masked the eyes. Actually I have a duplicate of this shot where you can see the eyebrows a little bit. I think that shot is more successful. But I just decided to go with this one instead.

In the the future, I might do more on this shot..add stuff in the background and make it look more crazy.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It will make me wanna do more and better work.

How do you do it? (raises an eyebrow)

This is a good new exploration of idea, I think- not the everyday self-portrait. The very high contrast of red and black does the trick nicely, and the details in your eyes is just wonderful (makes the viewer think: hmm... what are those suppose to be/mean...). Though, the impression it gives me is not boredom per se, but "native African", or -strangely- something religious like Jesus.
