Having lived in places where it never snowed, I always found super chilled places intriguing.I shot this from the plane when we were flying over Iceland. I would really like to go here someday. I was just fascinated by the amount of snow there is on this side of the planet. For a second, I thought I was on some other planet...seriously! For me, it was really an amazing experience.
Oh and the plane journey was pathetic. Nothing can be as boring as that. Over 25 hours from India to Tucson. Yikes!!

man this makes me so jealous! i would love to fly over iceland but i actually would like to go there too because to me its so mysterious because like you said, it seems like another planet!! cool picture!

yea i've never really been to the snow either ...i'd love to though. this shot looks very close to the ground. did you zoom a lot or does it just seem that way?

I just used my 100 mm lens so yea...it looks zoomed. The plane was on 36,000 feet elevation.

That IS quite a striking shot! A totally different take on snow, that's for sure. If you ask me, snow is overrated, though. I hate winter.
