Description This is shot with Canon 24-70mm L 2.8 that I borrowed from my class friend. This lens is way toooo good. So sharp, fast and silent.

Too bad that the highlights are blown out. I should have reduced the exposure but then it was a quick shot. I am sort of happy with how it turned out.

I am tired of using Rebel XT and I think I should get something else. But then I really want a canon 5d which is way too costly.
I might just buy a used 20d in next 3 months.

Please share your thoughts on the image.

thanks~

It's an awesome image!! The highlights look awesome to me. Yeah I'm having the same thoughts about my XTi. I'd love to have to 5D but it's way out of my price range. And it's been around for a while so it'd be just my luck that I'd buy it then a month later Canon would announce it's successor. SO I am going with the 40D. It's an incredible camera for the price. Have you played with it yet? Check it out! Also, since the 40D came out, the 30D is still in-stores and cheap!!!

Thanks! I am just tired of mine cuz I have used it like a cellphone. I have opened it and tried cleaning it myself. Yea, thats not a good thing to do. The dust that I see through the viewfinder just drives me nuts!! But it just doesn't come off..not at all. And I have to sell it then nobody is going to pay me more than $200-250. It's good, it takes awesome pictures. The color is good.
Xti is a good camera too. We have one at work and I use it every often. The problem I have with it is the shadows that come out too dark. But I love it..nice big LCD and dust removing function.

I thought about 40D and its good. I would loveeee to have one. But right now I am kind of obsessed with 5D cuz of the full frame. But hey, its ok to crave for one ha? I would then just buy a 17-40L lens cuz this lens is stunning with 5D. My another obsession is sharpness. Sometimes my new Sigma 10-20 disappoints me. Umm...its wierd!

Do you work at Ritzcamera?

Hey yeah dude I had the 5D to play with this weekend (our Canon rep brought in some models for us to play with) and it is pretty awesome, although you can tell it's been around for a while and is due for an upgrade...the Rebel is more advanced in a couple *not very many* ways...yeah I love my little rebel, but I'm obsessed with action shots...and 3fps isn't enough for me and what I shoot...and the lens I have is SO SLOW! The full-frame is nice, but I mostly use tele, so I'm fine with the crop conversion. So I'm looking to get the 40D with an L lens (I have yet to decide which)....and wait till I can afford a 5D...hopefully soon it will be upgraded. But the 40D does 6.5fps, which just blows me away! It's a huge selling point cause it's just so impressive to show ppl...That's a shame about your XT....yeah they sell sensor cleaning kits, but it's never a good idea...but Canon charges too much to do it for you. My XTi won't fetch much either...I think I might just give it to my brother or boyfriend haha. No, I work at a place called Lens and Shutter...there's I think 5 stores, plus a pro imaging lab...they've been here in BC since the 70's. Check it out: [link]
