For a long time I've been doing sprite editing/recoloring in MS Paint. Probably not the best program to use but it works fine for what I need it for. One of the more common things I would do it with is Pokemon trainer sprites. So over the past several months I've been making characters from the Phoenix Wright Ace attorney series out of Pokemon sprites. As you can probably see some turned out better than others.I've posted them on a few other sites but on the two that I have, probably less than 6 people cared so I thought I'd see what people on here thought. So I guess please give me your input/criticism. Or even just any comments.
The sprites found in this are just the main characters as they are listed on Court Records.net.

Okay guys I'll hopefully be releasing some in a few days. I'll be working on them a bit more now that I've finished Ace attorney investigations.
Hopefully I wont have too many distractions.

Well I'm pretty much done with The Bellboy and am moving on to Payne. Not exactly sure who I'll be releasing in the next addition, but I'll probably have like 4 or so in it.
Some will be just minor fixes and stuff though so it might be more.

Well unless I start making characters besides Ace attorney, (Which I might do eventually) Pokemon wouldn't really work unless I make like Polly and Missile or something. XD

I think Feenie's pose might work better with Larry, since the pose looks kinda laid back yet trying to look cool.

Also, you know those pokemon trainer cards people make? Example: [link] It would be cool if these sprites could be incorporated. I think I've seen a pokemon trainer card generator out there somewhere. Maybe you guys can combine forces?

I'm familiar with Trainer cards, never made one, but I've always found them interesting. 
Just out of curiosity I Googled Pokemon trainer card generator and several came up, so I'm not quite sure if you were referring to a specific one or not. So if you had one in mind or not, I guess please let me know.

As much fun as that sounds I probably couldn't pull that off on my own. I know little to nothing about programing something like that. 
I think I once saw a friend of mine just making one with the blank picture and adding in the sprites just through Paint or something. I don't know if there would be another way to add them in. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I love Edgey's sprite! It looks very similar to Red's though. Great job Nonetheless!

They're all very good, which is probably what makes the few mistakes all the more noticeable. Your Maya's sleeves are way too big, they should be more like normal sleeves. Gumshoe is way too slim. (His pose reminds me of Edgeworth in official art, but that's completely unrelated.) I think Larry's hair isn't spikey enough, but the sprite is so small it's hard to tell. I also think your April May's hair is too long, but it's moving so it makes sense for it to seem longer, so... The way I understand her hair is shorter, but each his own.
I hope I don't seem to mean, I really do like them all.

Yeah with the sleeves I actually did mean to fix those but by then forgot about it and by the time I remembered I'd uploaded it. I'll fix that eventually.
Yeah Gumshoe definitely is too slim. And that is one I'll be working on. When I next release sprites it will probably be a bunch of older ones I'm fixing up. *Facepalms* Oh I failed so badly at the Bellboy.
Oddly enough you'd think i would have noticed Larry's hair isn't spikey enough, but I just now see that. MUST FIX! =O
As for April, It's possible there are quite a few problems with that one. That was the very first sprite of these I ever made so it might have to go back and touch that up a bit.
And please don't hesitate to give criticisms on these. I've been trying to think of ways to improve some of these.

I wouldn't say the bellboy is bad, he just isn't as good as the others. If that makes sense.
If you're gonna fix April, I think you should pay a lot of attention to her hair. Right now it looks like the front of her hair goes inwards and the back hangs loosely. (Not the best way to describe it, but I hope you get what I mean.)

You want criticism? Well... I think some of the characters looks a little flat (like maya purple thingy) and morgan clothes.
The judge and Franziska skintone is a little wrong (Or maybe I am colorblind XD) you could try recoloring it

Actually I've been kind of hoping for a bit of criticism on these so much appreciated.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by flat. If you're referring to the sleeves than I'm pretty sure that's how they're supposed to be.
As for the skin tone, yeah it's possible they're a bit off. On the judge especially. He's one of the ones I'm planning on going back to redo since he was one of the earlier ones. I must admit I have no idea how you were able to tell on Franziska. XD But I'll see what I can do.

I think the colors you used to shadow the sleeves are too similar, look at maya original sprite colors

You know it's pretty sad when one forgets about very major aspects of his own sprites. Especially considering those legs took forever to construct since on the original there is a cape. Yeah I can see what you mean. I'll see what I can do about that.

Well technically I only did the left leg. If you look at what I used as a base sprite in the chart almost the entire thing is covered up.
And the desk has had worse. Especially when I'm playing minesweeper. XD
