Click 'Download' to view the image in it's full detail.There was a drawthread that and created on /tg/ and asked me to join, but I did not manage to draw anything for the thread other than my intro-piece before the thread overflowed. OH WELL!
Anyway, the thread was named as character drawthread which got me thinking: what kind of avatar should I have?
I know I took the easy way when I just used a Dawn of War 2 Eldar Warlock unit profile for my avatar, but I thought I'd expand on what the character would look like without a helmet.

A theme that has always interested me about the Eldar is that they have a distinct alien quality in spite of resembling humans. Β I think you've done a good job at depicting that; he's elegant and handsome, but a bit too angular and proportioned to be familiar. It's hard to be distinct without being uncanny, but you've managed to make it work.

I like how you put a more "alien" twist on space elves, many artists make them look to human, yet this also makes me think of Oblivion where they're super super scowly. Also forehead lacks defenition >:3

Well, hair is the equivalent of bears for Eldar / elves in the Warhammer setting.
Dwarves grow beards but most of the time go bald, whereas elves don't grow beards or body hair at all and concentrate on growing their hair. It's a sign of standing in the Eldar / elven society.
