Wonder what planet that is? What year it is?
SPACE IS COOL.

It's a planet in early colonization in one of the outer solar systems of the Milky Way. It's sometime in the year 2361. The reason why the colony is using an old fashioned shuttle is because it's very cheap and quick to make, and reliable. Perfect for early colonies.

I was going to flip it on it's side and use it for a wallpaper, but it's so big.
How long did it take to make this?

Oh thats right, you reminded me. I made a wallpaper version, but I never uploaded it.
It took me roughly 4-5 hours total I think.

yeah since i decided to use a stock image for the star field, it cut down a bit on the time.

Still, quite impressive.

that asteroid is kind of out of place in this scene, but a great one nonetheless

Thanks.
hmm... how is it out of place?

squattingb In reply to Prototype516 [2011-03-04 06:49:31 +0000 UTC]
well... it's just floating there. there's no indication that it's moving and there are no other asteroids nearby so it really feels like it shouldn't be there!

Yes.. I see how that can be a little confusing now. Well it is supposed to be one of the planets smaller satellites orbiting the it, just at a really low orbit...

Not bad like very much the configuration but the smal moon/planet its a bit strange because of the visible atmospher in the dark side...but still very nice!

Thank you. Yeah I know what you mean about the moon. idk what happened there, probably got lazy. I'll fix that

well done, _but_ why dont you make the starfield and the asteroids by urselfe? Cause this way it just seems to be a picture full of stocks even if it looks pretty nice. I dont want to offend, its just what i am thinking ...

Prototype516 In reply to Philip25 [2011-01-24 23:23:42 +0000 UTC]
yeah I know what you mean. I try to use stocks as little as possible in my images, if any. I usually make my own starfield but I got lazy this time, and I dont really know how to make a good asteroid.
