Description
These might be the last two characters I post on ArtFight for this year.
Cobalt and Ram are minor antagonists in my novel-in-progress, Outsiders. You can learn more about Outsiders here:
Outsiders Synopsis and Characters,Outsiders is a YA dystopian novel inspired by the Project Blue Beam, HAARP, and Agenda 21 (now known as Agenda 2030) conspiracies. The story has been in development since 2011 and is now being completed.Synopsis (spoiler-free and incomplete):An elaborate hoax has forced all of humanity into compliance with the New World Union, a global governing system that seeks to end environmental crises and prevent war by confining all humans into overcrowded city zones and removing freedoms that are likely to cause division. Those who resist the new ways are viewed as dangerous outsiders and must undergo rehabilitation. Those who fail rehabilitation risk being executed as part of a yearly celebration of "unity." Lions, gallows, and guillotine are the methods of execution. At twelve years old, Robin Winters was involved in an accident that took her brother's life and left her permanently scarred. Her own life was spared, but at a cost-- She must serve as an officer in the Legion, the NWU's militarized police force, for as long as she lives. Now eighteen and fresh out of training, Robin makes a mistake on the job that leads to her mandatory expulsion from the Legion. Having brought shame and suspicion on the Legion itself, and being unable to fulfill her lifelong obligation, her peers obtain permission to banish her from the city. They ambush her and run her out the Western Gate, an act almost equivalent to a death sentence due to the harsh conditions and predators that reside there. Alone in the wildlands with only the clothes on her back, a tactical knife, and an e-bike about to run out of power, Robin has no choice but to head west and hope for another city to grant her refuge. But she never makes it to another city, instead wrecking her bike and ending up in Lakewood, a small town that shouldn't exist and that can't be found on any map.Everything about Lakewood is different. The people are different. The laws are different and barely enforced. Soon, without realizing it, Robin begins to befriend the very people she has been trained to hunt... Outsiders. And the truth about them challenges everything she's been taught about the world.Characters (not all but most):Robin Winters - Protagonist. Female. 18. Pessimistic and generally untrusting. Some names and details have already changed since I first started talking about this story a decade ago. Some elements and scenes have been added or changed to reflect recent worldwide events. This story has a pro-Christian and pro-conservative slant. If that makes you uncomfortable, this book is not for you.I may add to or tweak parts of this document as changes are made.
