Description After I first inked this and went to colour it, NOTHING would work. All the colours consistently managed to look wrong together, so I started the colouring over.

And this time I tried experimenting with some other ways of colouring I'd never really tried (hence the title), and while it hasn't turned up the best, I think I might be on the right track.

I need a new tablet, though. I did this one all on mousepad. Grr. How annoying that was. Ah well.

Colouring looks great! (But the image looks very slanted, as if it was squashed quite a bit.)Don't forget to close your tag in your comments...

It does look a bit slanted, doesn't it? :/ Unfortunately that's a problem I've always had when drawing something that has no references. I'm going to try and quash that habit, if I can. Thanks for that one.

What of the perspective/slant tool in whichever software you use? I usually start with a rough sketch, and then scale, slant, adjust, re-sketching and refining the sketch each time...

Oh, um, I don't use any of those. I might rotate it if I drew it on the page diagonally, but that's it. The way I draw faces tends to be wide, too, which might not be helping the squashing problem. :/

Well that's what the Experimental Experiments are for: Experimenting!

I digress, but with a title like that, do you think you could submit it to

Yep!

lol I'm not quite sure it self-references itself enough for that. The redundancy would have to go right down to the picture itself.

'right then. I'll leave both suggestions up to you.
