It's more of a methaphor than a quote.
The words and the phrases already existed, I just adapted the context to mean something more than what they originally were intended.

I thought about that, but I couldn't get it right -- a hotdog coming out of a taco on top of a car just didn't come off as anything other than a taco on a car. I settled and hoped the abstraction would be enough to at least imply that 'tweener' or 'weenco' is also fine to drive.

It's a touch decision for me whether "However you drive, share the road." should have been included in the design somewhere or not, but ultimately I think you made the correct one in leaving it out.
