Description
[NEEDS OVERHAUL]
KNICKERS|GILET|NECKTIE|DOMINO
NAME: Sparkloid Alpha/ Domino Mask Borsalino
GENDER: [OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD SYNTHETIC LAUGHTER] [prefers it or they pronouns]
SPECIES: Android
AGE: 12 [since the program's startup.....looks older than that because of the casing]
WEAPON: Voice, also χάος-α, a plasma blade that they can phase into existence for combat purposes. (without proper updates it's kind of janky and prefers not to use the blade; it also lost its buffers in a program update. whoops.)
RANK: Neutral, and plans on keeping it that way, fuck you
PERSONALITY: For a long time Domino had a malleable AI that was meant to adapt to environments as it learned more; That's still the case, but the AI seemed to develop enough to get a mind of its own and at this point it has its own distinct personality. It's a gigantic ham, mostly because of choosing its performer job over any secondary programming. Very prone to unecessary theatrics and showboating. Also tends to be a snarky asshole and will quip and jab at you. It can be very belligerent and competitive, often out of spite--demons and angels want it to go one way or another? HAHA YOU FUCKIN TRY GOOD LUCK.
While it seems to have a mutual contempt for angels and demons alike, it begrudgingly puts up with them as it's very close to hellbent humans and demons due to previous gang affiliations. It doesn't like it, though. Tends to be genuinely friendly toward humans and its fans, though! However, as it was originally a performance AI, it also tends to love attention and will absolutely get upset if it's being ignored. It's trying to get better at that, though. Keyword is trying.
BIO:
Once upon a time, there was a little vocal synthesizer program, the Sparkloid. There was really only one, the technology ended up dying out fast after Borsalino Inc. bought it out. Sparks Industries would never break through into the vocaloid game, though in their brief time two cased synthesizers debuted, Alpha and Omega; they were made to be backup dancers. The idea was let them be rented out by a few big-name performers, maybe the technology would grow, because this was a new niche, after all! Voice synthesizers were previously only physical as holograms!
The androids would soon become a novelty act on their own and would see a brief degree of Sparks-sponsored success until said buyout.
What happened after that was even weirder, somehow the androids' AIs got tinkered with, giving them a simulation of a human personality. And then they were programmed to become weapons.
These two would become lynchpins to an anti-immortal defense operation, and also part of an underground crime ring. Fucking incredible. For a while, they'd stay there, but then the sibling of the mob boss would show up. Things were fine for a while.
Then said sibling hijacked this one. See, it was a performance robot. Yuri liked to throw parties. What's better for a party than a singing robot? Fucking nothing, that's what. Well, there's a few things probably, but the singing robot is very important. So Domino was taken in by Yuri, and used to help liven up the social scene!
Everything was fine and dandy.
But Yuri, being hellbent, had demons hovering over xem. And said demons were also curious about artificial intelligence. Domino would find out soon enough, and it'd firmly establish itself as a neutral party. It still loves its boss' family dearly, but it draws the line here. This was mostly left to be for the most part, though some attempts were made to remove the CHAOS programming, but the AI had sort of interwoven the CHAOS programming into its base AI; this was bad in that they could't just reprogram Domino to be nonhostile to immortals, but at the same time it actually knew better than to attack immortals at first sight. It was part of the character now, whoops. However, during that attempt, the parts of the programming attached to its weapon would get compromised. Not a huge loss; after being hijacked by Yuri it really never needed to use its weapon.
Years would pass, technology would go on and the sort of AI domino was? wouldn't really appear quite like it did. It'd been under the radar and used for private agendas for a while, its fame sort of died down, however, it still seems to gain a lot of looks when it shows up...nice.
As of late, it managed to hear about all the hubbub with a competition between the immortals in Daten, and that fired up its competitive streak, enough to want it to make a public carreer once again, in hopes of causing a scene. You want its soul? You want other human's souls too?
Good luck.
LIKES:
- performing
- dressing up and being dressed up
- humans
- its fans
- attention
- slapstick humor
- demons
- angels
- being ignored
- being too close to water
- having its AI messed with
- physical combat
- hurting people/making people upset, within reason (obviously it cares less about immortals, but it prefers being liked for the most part)
EXTRAS:
-Expy of the Alpha Units from Dramatical Muder, with left Vocaloid parody. (resemblance to Mettaton character-wise is purely coincidental)
-fun fact: they can be calibrated by hooking up to a computer and running Nico Nico Dance. There's an NND model and everything. (This used to be a common thing to do back when Domino was a younger program and while they don't need it as much if the body takes too much wear and tear once they're repaired they will definitely need to be recalibrated)
-Doesn't get too angry about pronouns used around it, but if you insist it's one gender or the other it's gonna get really nasty. It's a program and a performer and gender is performed their gender is gender.
-on that note its presentation changes ALL THE TIME, it's totally okay with appearing feminine or masculine coded, though it usually pushes its presentations gender-wise for performances. Left mingling with others on daily terms, it sort of just drifts in the middle.
-sometimes lives with Yuri, sometimes lives with Necktie, depends on its moods. However, since 12 isnt an acceptable age for humans to be living on its own its sort of stuck by human law and has to lodge with somebody. Plus, having a spare hand with its technology is nice.
-Speaking of which, the only demon it completely trusts is Necktie, since he's one of boss' ex-subordinates. It knows Necktie, he's chill, he aint gonna try shit.
-Now while it likes causing a ruckus and making stuff hard for immortals, it's not actually there to hurt 'em. Unless they try to hurt it first, of course! It's preferred combat method is music, anyway.
-As its caretakers are hell-aligned, it's definitely been in contact with the demon robots. Has mixed emotions about all of them.
-it can be programmed to perform a certain way, but as of late is trying to perform in a more human manner because it finds the errors in human execution intruiging. Still, it has a ridiculously sophisticated library of songs and if you wanted it to perform, oh, fucking po-pi-po, you got fucking po-pi-po!
EDIT LOG:
10/30 Changed the app art to reflect design updates. not on-model but who cares.
