my dev ID from 2007 redone, because seriously it looks odd with the old background. I didn't update the old one to this one though because the original holds a special place in my heart <3[link]

well, I think it's clever. I think there's a misconception that a DD needs to be of some kind of high artistic skill; I had this misconception once too. then I actually read the freaking FAQ.

I think it's impressive! It reminds me of those bead projects people enjoy doing, and I don't mean the ones with the pattern along with it. I mean the ones where the person comes up with the patterns and colors themselves, which takes a lot of patience. So, kudos

I don't mean to be rude, but this isn't really that impressive. You put color-coordinated emoticons together on a 339px × 671px JPEG image. It's something you can easily do in Bitmap on a Saturday.
Unless you hand-drawn all of these? Which I doubt...

and it's not the impressiveness that got it a DD but the thought behind it.

The thing is with a DD, it can be given a DD for anything pretty much. I remember when a photograph of the deviant's brother was placed as a DD so it could reach this large community hoping to find that brother. And one reason or another I think all DDs have been deserving.

Only thing: the da longo seems a bit too flat...
Also: it's funny that most of the emotes that make up the heart seem to be expressing complete indifference and seem to be quite exhausted with the whole matter

it's a bit of irony thrown in... that some aspects of this place do make me wanna roll my eyes (like some of the people commenting about this getting a DD)
and the dA logo is based on the old dA logo that was up at the top of the page, pixel per pixel... so it's the same dimensions as that one, which does look different from the new one... after all i made this two years ago lol
