Description
Venom. In an unusually quiet moment, enjoying a light evening drizzle on the roofs of a well populated town area... y'know... in case he got hungry.This is just so I could draw a big toothy grin a lots of saliva~ wheheheh... And also to prompt myself that I've got to work so much harder on understanding basic human anatomy =.=

All references for creating this image were taken from DeviantArt. Main head design based on 's version of Venom ([link] ). Because he made it look just... right. Guess i've got a lot to learn in the monster making department... And I totally chickened out on the action pose I sketched before this. bock bock bakaw..... =.=""

in reguards to your complaint about drawing human anatomy, the only thing here that needs to be pointed out is possibly the sholder. it slopes down a little bittoo much prehapse, especially when we take into account the fact that they're jussting foward as he sits hauncherd over (the fact that you really get an idea of what the rest of his body's doing just from this bust is a credit to your understanding of the human body and the way it works).
the way you've handled the rain is just palin awsome, despitt ethe sheer simplicity of it. the light lines tracing eratic routs down him works to cr5eate a more than tangible effect and they also act as contour lines, fleshing out the charater and complementing your tonal work.
