Seriously, I hope Unohana will get some action soon.It would be nice if she is more badass than Aizen himself.

Funny thing is, she was the first kenpachi and will zaraki kenpachi's teacher.

She does get a brief moment of action during a filler arc. She displays considerable power with Kido. She also briefly fights against her evil clone.
Let me just put it this way, Captain Unohana is a sweet, gentle, kindly and motherly figure - she never raises her voice or becomes truly angered - and her stare alone is enough to cause Kenpachi Zaraki to back down.
Many people want to see her fight, but me - I know better. Normally, they're very docile creatures - but if you mess with a Mama Bear's babies, then she will claw your eyes out.
(Also to note; watch one of the omakes. Although it is technically non-canon, it shows Shunsui accidentally wandering into Unohana's bedroom. He ends up having to put his arm in a cast, a black eye and numerous bruises and what looks like dozens of other bandages on him. And this is one of the oldest badasses in Soul Society we're talking about).

this is so true,i'm sure that if it wasn't for her tending Hiyori,she would of deifently joined the fray and did serious damage to Aizen.Aizen Himself avoided battle with her altogether in the soul society arc.
here's sevreal reasons why she is the 2nd most powerful if not the most dangerous captain
she's a Kendo master,Kenpachi is proficent in sowrdsmanship skills and took only one kendo class,imagine someone with much more experience with it,this alone makes her even more terrifying than Kenpachi.
her spiritual power is powerful enough to see though aizen's shikai illisuons and her power is said to dwarf even that of Shunshi and Uitake,who are on the same league as Aizen without the Hygouku.h
she has knowlegede of the human body including pressure points,vital functions,this alone makes her dangerous,combined with Kendo Mastery,this will make her extremely dangerous,even to stronger foes than herself.
she has medical kido,she can develop powerful healing KidΕ; some of which, were considered impossible feats, such as replacing lungs and important body parts.this gives her a avadangte in battle as she can heal herself constantly while the opponent gets weaker.it can also be she must porcess extremely great control of her reiastu and proably can use that same medical Kido to enhance the strength of her attacks.
and the fact so many people fear her such as Uitake and Shunshi as well as Kenpachi is another facotr of her power

I think she's actually REAL badass. Her first name means "violence".
There are still 3 villains to take down as of now: Gin, Aizen and maybe Yammy if he wins against Byakuya and Kenpachi.
So there is still a chance to see just how "violent" she really is underneath this graceful appearance.
Cuz one should be afraid of any woman whose smile means "you'd better obey me if you value your life".
