Description So for my summer reading project this year I chose to focus on my Peter Pan obsession. We had to read two books of our choice, one being non-fiction. I chose to do Peter Pan and a biography on the book's author, J.M Barrie and the Lost Boys.
Peter Pan was really good, btw. I still have to read J.M Barrie.
Anyhoo, I wrote my book vs. movie essay today and since I was being stupid I figured I'd procrastinate some more before finishing up my AP US History essays (SNORE!) and this was the result. It's going to be the cover page for my essay as well.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Wendy's face took forever to get right and I still think there's something wrong with Hook, but its not too bad.
P.S YES! the yellow thing floating by Peter's head it Tink.

All together this was a 6 hour job from start to finish and done, for the most part all in one sitting.

Materials: 0.7mm pencil, copic lining markers, copic brush markers, crayola colored pencils, and colors fixed in the computer with iPhoto and on [link]

Well its now 1am and I have 4 essays to write tomorrow so... nighty night!

(edit) Character designs based mainly on the 2003 film. from, film references for Pan and Hook, none for Wendy

I do NOT own Peter, Wendy or Hook. They all belong to J.M Barrie.

J.M Barrie was the worst writer I ever read about.

Actually, they all belong to the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Barrie gave the rights to Peter Pan to the hospital in 1929 and it is unique in copyright law because they have those rights forever - they will never expire (most copyrights expire after a set number of years and then either the work is opened up to the public or the author or their family can renew it for a smaller amount of time).

I love the image. It really evokes the book. It's surprisingly rare to find fan art for this book - everything is for the movie versions! And I love the movies, but the book is better.

*gasp* I love the 2003 movie. The best version of peter pan aside from Hook.
This is a great picture. You did a wonderful job on this

And thanks so much! I worked pretty hard on it

I've never seen Hook cuz i'm afraid seeing Peter as a man and Wendy old will ruin it for me, but i've hear great things.

Your very welcome. hehe Yea older Wendy/Peter is kinda strange but it is a great movie if you ever get around to seeing it. The guy who plays Captain Hook (I think Dustin Hoffman) is really good.
