I'm not planning to start a series of Fallout comics, just so you know. But this moment, in the game, was best conveyed in comic format. (coloring was fun, too!)This is perhaps my most memorable, non-plot moment in the game, so far, because it scared the shit out of me. If you've been to this particular place, I'm sure you can relate (especially if you're an excited sugar bomb collector like I am. Caaaaaps)
Seriously, I thought I just walked my party into a death trap I went and triggered for them. I'm sure if Butch and Dogmeat didn't just stand around while the place erupted into explosions, they would've been wondering why the hell they're following my character around for XD. Dimitri's dangerous!

I like the attention to detail with Dogmeatβs eyes, specifically the heterochromia.

No matter how many times I go back to this comic, it's still hilarious, doubly so having had a similar experience at that charming spot.
That and the last panel expression is wonderful.

Sounds like you were at the Gold Ribbon Grocers, and stumbled upon the Rube Goldberg machine. After the explosion, some stuff from the 2nd floor will drop down from the hole in the ceiling, its usually a mini nuke, some missiles, and a couple skill magazines.

Haha only in fallout a simple quest for some cereal can end up nearly killing u.
Love fallout 3 for the simple fact it rewarded u for exploring the word. Caps for prewar book from the brotherhood. Conducter for the outcast. Fingure for the regulators. Blood packs for the family. The capital wasteland was full of little things that helped make the world seem more real.

Oh man! Β I felt like such an idiot in this spot. Β "Oh, look! Β An obvious trap!" I think as I come inside and see a pressure plate on the floor. Β "I'll just AVOID that." Β And I still manage to set the whole thing off anyway elsewhere in the store. Β I was awfully surprised that I wasn't dead as a result. Β

i had a similar incident happen to me in Fallout NV. i was walking up stairs from the highyway to get the the new vegas steel building. when in the middle of the staircase there were two fire extinguishers and a frag mine/ when they exploded it scareed the shit out of me so bad i screamed. so it was panel 3 to 6 for me.
