This is just what Dunsparce needs, a good evolution. And due to the type changes of many other pokemon, i'm actually glad it's just Normal.

Before even reading the description, I thought, "Looks like a Dunsparce evo". Meaning, you've done a great job in relating it to the original. It looks so cool!

This would have been one of my main Pokemon.
Just one LITTLE tiny issue. Dunsparce is based on Japanese folklore, so going from Japanese to Aztec would be kind of strange.
Still, this is an amazing design.

Yeah, I did notice that it was based on that weird snake monster, and if you notice in the design, I included the shrunken tail like the creature has. I will most likely change the name around once I think of something better, but for the time being, both appear to be "feathered serpents". What's really interesting is how most if not every culture has the same symbols and similar folk lore. You're right though, making that jump in the game would probably feel strange for most people. If you're super interested in finding out why that is; I would suggest, if I may, reading "Foundations of Psychohistry" by Lloyd deMause.
