In the years following Team Rocket's research, development, and deployment of their ultimate living weapon, Mewtwo, Blaine- Cinnibar's gym leader and head of Team Rocket's research division found himself driven mad with the compounding moral paradoxes that the dilemma years earlier had seared into his psyche. Ultimately, the only way to escape his insanity and cope with the atrocities he helped bring to fruition was to create a complex and abstract delusion in which Arceus was ultimately to blame for all man's suffering as well as his most cherished creation, Mewtwo's. Blaine's pervasive insanity stretched his mind to the outer reaches of human potential, driven by a deep, masterful contempt for the self proclaimed perfect entity. Now he knew the truth, that he had created the perfect being, not by merely splicing and recombining DNA from Mewthree's predecessors, but by figuring out how to use DNA to store information; all information. Blaine had created a power that would not merely rival the god, but one that could potentially bring it to justice. The first transcendent poke'mon was born, not from an infinitude of impossibility, but from human potential and the ever burning light of ambitious curiosity.
