Description
Here's yet another bit of full-size, textless artwork from my illustrated novella, 'Vermilion Crescent'.This one comes from early in the story, where Vermilion quite skillfully defends herself from a pair of bandits from the infamous 'Dusk Blades'. Apparently the duo thought she was an easy target lost in the woods, some wanna-be adventurer who had to pay for inexperience.
They were wrong.
A little work with her mannerisms, body and a few flashes of her blades and legs later and Vermiliion is left with one thug running off in fear and the other stomped safely under her sole, ready to be brought to the authorities for a sizable bounty.
That is, AFTER she's had her fun...which isn't so bad for the fallen Dusk Blade himself either. His expression soon changed after Ver suggested something...dealing with his position...
As always, I did the linework/design here, and my talented friend was responsible for the excellent colors and very cool background in this one. ^^

The boy does not understand it would be very good not to make her angry, so he intends for some mocking: "Please, would you be so friendly and put your foot away from my face. It is because of the terrible stink." The boy can not see the most of her face but her eyes look very angry now. "I know a remedy for it. Knocked out people does not smell anything." She raises her leg ready for the most brutal face stomp the boy can think. Now he understands his situation. "Please no, it was a joke only!" The girl smiles. "OK, so I will show mercy". The boy: "Very thank you." The girl. smiling: "Sorry, but it was also a joke" and her foot comes down and crashes in his face, knocking him out.

Oh yes, I'd like it! Now, Vermilion is one woman I wouldn't mind if she kicked me in the face. 
I already said, way back when I was yet to start on the painting/colouration of this picture, that it would be awesome, but look at it now! Brilliant! And really, this illustration, in fact, all of your pictures that I coloured, wouldn't look as amazing if it weren't for your drawing skills. You really inspire me. And you draw gorgeous looking soles. Now there's some things that I enjoy!

But as always I have to thank you so much for how amazingly the color came out...the background on this one has such a cool 'painted look' with the sun blazing down upon the scene. Love it. ^^

Much thanks. I've been posting all of these illustrations in their 'full size' versions, before they've been scaled down and a text box was added for the versions found in the actual novella. I figure people would want to see the original details after taking a glance through the book itself. ^^
