Description
Pteroslavian Navy Airship, St-2 Class, StribogSerial Number: St2
Preceded by: St-1 Class Airship
Succeeded by: St-3 Class Airship
Designed directly following the flight of the airship Dadzbog, the Stribog was completed in 1904, incorporating a third observer's gondola at the fore of the hull, as well as a dedicated passenger compartment amidships. With to the rear control surfaces and the addition of 4 triplane elevators/stabilizers on the sides of the hull, the St-2 was easier to fly, and the first practical airship of the Pteroslavian Navy. She was moored in a special hangar next to a similar one built for the St-1 in Danzig, just outside of the naval base on the outskirts of the city. At the onset of the Russo-Pteroslavic war of 1905, she was refitted with machine-guns to take down opposing airships, though, none were claimed by either active Airships at the time.
Only one airship of the St-2 class was built
